Today’s games are canceled.  (5/9/12) The determination will be made by 4 o’clock. They only update when the fields are actually cancelled, so be sure to listen to the date mentioned. As mentioned, the rainout number is 704.336.5800, option 3. Frazier park is listed the same as Renaissance park. But as a reminder, we are playing at Frazier Park (1201 West 4th Street Ext).

Given the number of teams this season, we will be combining the A and B+ leagues for the regular season. Depending on the number of B+ teams that move to A we may still decide to split the end of season tournament. For those teams in the B+ league, I need an email response indicating which league you would like to play in. Keeping in mind, the B league plays on Wednesday.
We have amended the rule that you must receive the serve having two hands together. Setting the serve will now be allowed. Also, changed player contact with the net to now include uniform as not a fault. Below are the details of said changes and attached is a new copy of the rules.
RULE CHANGE….

Receiving the serve: A player who receives the serve must have two hands together when contacting the ball. If you receive the ball over the head, you can not try to “set” the ball as a means to receive the serve.

RULE CHANGE….

Held Ball: When the ball visibly comes to rest in the hands or arms of a player, it is considered to have been held. The ball must hit in such a manner that is rebounds cleanly after contact with a player. Scooping, lifting, pushing, or allowing the ball to roll on the body also shall be considered a held ball.
